Match Perfection Foundation..

I've never really enjoyed foundations, so for the past year I've stuck to my BB cream like glue - I just find them so easy and effortless to wear. Although when winter hit I decided I wanted to give  foundations another go, so after looking around my heart was set on this one which I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas!
I just love the design of this one , It didn't really pick up on camera Rimmel's famous crown is printed into the lid. The foundation itself is housed in this lovely glass bottle and competed with a pump.
I have the shade ivory, but I feel that the foundation itself is a little dark for me but the great thing about this is that it's easy to blend either with your fingers or a brush (I've been loving the ELF Stipple Brush)
This foundation leaves skin looking really natural but it also provides around a medium level of coverage which is great for when unwanted blemishes pop up. I also love that this gives a bit of a glowy effect but it isn't so much that oilier skin types will feel the need to run a mile. Lastly I would like to point out the fact that it has SPF, because I know after lack of shade range that is one of the biggest complaints people seem to have with Highstreet foundations.
You can pick this up in Rimmel Stockists such as Boots for £6.99 (currently on offer for £4.99)

Lasting Perfection Concealer

I know when it comes to beauty blogs this is probably one of the most talked about products out there, but I feel like other than the odd favourites post I've never said much about this product which is a little odd since its a such a staple in my make up bag. So for that fact alone I figured it's about time I gave Collection's most famous concealer a full review.
The first time I brought this concealer I wasn't too bothered by it, It wasn't until that tube run out and I started to get through my other concealers I realised just how much I missed it.  This provides amazing coverage which spot prone skin like mine craves for, although I do find you have to be careful  that you don't apply too much as it can look a little cakey but once you've mastered that this just works like a dream and is probably the best concealer I've tried. I honesntly don't think the colour range is too great, although being this pale the shade 'fair' is perfect for me, I also find best to apply but tapping into your face - I feel like rubbing is just a waste of product and it never looks as good. Below I've tried to demonstrate how it works with a mark on my hand:
You can pick this up for £4.19 from Collection stockists such as Boots.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Nude Eyeliner

Before I started to blog, the idea of a nude eyeliner would probably have baffled me. But since becoming part of the blogging community I've learnt a few tips and tricks, one being nude eyeliner which was pretty much impossible to find on the high street until Rimmel launched their Scandal eyes collection. I've never been much of an eyeliner type of girl but I have literally not put this down since I brought it last month, I effortlessly glides on the lower lash line like a dream. Its just so creamy and long lasting probably not what many were expecting for just £3.99! At first I was worried this 'nude' shade was a little too orange , but now I just  love using this to just brighten my eyes in the morning, and I'm guessing its a lot better for your skin than simply covering under your eyes with concealer!
Like I've mentioned this is just £3.99 from Rimmel Stockists like Boots, although I found mine for under £3 in Wilkos. I really cant recommend this enough, I think Ill even have to go back for more shades!
Whats your favourite eyeliner?

Things I've brought..

Nude square Tow ballerinas £9.99 £2 / Nude bow Ballerinas £7.99 £2 / Cream lace back top £12.99 £5 / Shake it PJ's £7.00 £4 / Black skater skirt £14.99 / Teal Shaper Skinny Jeans £21.99 £12 / Navy double checked lined duffle coat £50 £30

Yes I know...another haul post! But in my defense I haven't posted one since last year ;) Shockingly, above this is some clothing, which is rare for me considering 60% of my my money goes on beauty, and the other 40% on food. The plan was to link you to some better quality shock images, but since pretty much everything above was in the sale I can no longer find any.. so I guess your have to imagine how lovely everything looks because since taking this original photo a few days ago it's all in the wash/lost in my disaster of a wardrobe.

On Christmas Eve Internationale sent out an email with some of their sale offers including £2 flats which automatically had my browsing around the website, of course I had to pick up two pairs as they were such a bargain price. I also added  lovely lacey top, along with a pair of jeans jeans and a skirt for New Years Eve to my basket. I'd been on the search for a coat for such a long time, so when I saw this one for just £30 I ran straight to the tills, sadly I cant find it anywhere online but you can build an idea of it from the above picture. When I saw these Pj's for just £4 in Primark I had to pick them up, they're just so cute and really warm too which is always lovely.

Toni & Guy Gift for blondes £12 £6 / Katy Perry Sweetie pie lashes £6.50 £4 / Strawberry hand cleanse gel £3 £1.50 / Taylor Swift wonderstruck set £20 £13.33 / Clarie's highlighter compact £3 / Cinnamon buns candle £1 / Clarie's mirror £4 / Clarie's lime lip balm £3 £1/ Tree tea night lotion £9 £5.40 / Tea Tree skin clearing lotion £8 £4.80 / Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette £15 £9

After buying and trying the Tony & Guy set the other day I had to pick up another while in Boots - The products left my hair feeling amazing so expect reviews soon! I also picked up Taylor Swift's Wonderstuck which comes with a lovely little mini and body lotion! While we're on the subject of Boots - I was given a No7 voucher so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone in telling you, they're back..Although I'm still annoyed you can only get £3 off of make up now! I also had a Clarie's gift card and headed straight to the beauty section picking up these Katy Perry lashes, a lovely highlighter, mirror and a cute lip balm all for just £12. I'm loving candles right now and my little sister had given my Mum this Cinnamon buns candle as part of her Christmas present.  I loved the smell of it so gave her the money to pick me one up too, I cant wait to burn it! Lastly When I saw that The Body Shop Website had at least 40% off everything and free delivery with a £20 spend I automatically made an order. I've been wanting to try some bits from the Tea Tree range for a while now so figured I'd pick them up while they were going cheap, I also added the perfume to my basket as I loved the sound of it and haven't had much luck in the perfume sales this year - Luckily I love the smell of it and think its such a steal at just £9 for 50ml! Lastly I added some hand cleanse gel to get my total over £20.

Beauty wise, I think I've spent enough for a while although today I'm allowing myself to spend £10 in Boots since a couple of bits I've wanted for a while have money off and it would silly to pass them up. My lovely friend also picked me this Topshop Duo in the sales and my Mum has promised me some new make up brushes as part of my Christmas present..Other than that I'm totally on a spending ban.. Promise! Well until something I 'need' comes along. Have you guys made any good sale buys?

Happy New Year!

Since this is my first post of 2013 I really wanted to acknowledge it rather than just posting something such as a review. I hope you all had a lovely night last night, even if it was indoors! I attended a New Years Eve party which was..eventful. Thank God for free trains since I managed to miss the last bus home (you'd think they'd be more around at this time of year). I really wanted to show you guys my outfit, but I didn't get round to getting any blog pictures so today I thought i'd share some beauty resolutions instead since these seem to be popular right now.
1. Invest in beauty - I think anyone who knows me well would say I do this enough, But I tend to spend a lot  on high street products (hints the name of my blog) but really want to broaden that this year. Okay, So I cant go buy a new MAC lipstick every week, but there's always birthdays! I also want to do this with make up brushes too -  I love the ones I currently use but would benefit from some better quality ones, My Mum has actually promised my The Real Techniques Core Collection in a few weeks as part of my Christmas present so I may be able to start this one sooner than I thought!

2. Drink more water - I go through stages of being pretty much addicted to water, to not drinking it for weeks. Over the festive period I've pretty much replaced my water intake with Pepsi! As well as being generally healthier drinking water can have so many beauty benefits, so I'm determined to keep it up this year!
3. Mix up my make up more - Once I find a combination of products I love, I pretty much stick to them! So this year I want to try and shop my stash that bit more so most (if not all) of my products are put to good use. I  also want to give some unloved products a new home!

4. Find the perfect contour shade - I've wanted to master contouring for a while now but finding a good contour on the high street is hard work! Originally I wanted the Sleek kit although my local Superdrug has stopped stocking it,but I've been looking into NYX's taupe which looks great for pale skin and is available on Ebay for around £6 with shipping.
5. Use masks  more - Considering I just spent  £20 on face masks I some how think I may feel more compelled to do this one. Face masks are great for you skin - I'm just a very lazy person! So this year I'm determined to keep them as part of my skincare routine!

Have you made any resolutions?!

The Beauty Stars of 2012!

Happy New Years Eve guys! This year has been a great year in terms of blogging, I've learnt so much and met so many amazing people. Thank you to each and every one of you who has visited, commented and even followed my blog - It means the world to me that so many of you have joined me on this journey.

Since It's the last day of the year I felt it appropriate to look back on a year of beauty products. I wish I would have something clever with this post like '12 for 2012' and so on, but I literally made a grab for everything I've raved about over the past year and continue to love now. There isnt really any facial skincare/hair because my routines have changed so much although if I could pick one thing from those categories it would be without a doubt Superdrugs own hot cloth cleanser.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream (£7.99/30ml)
Although I haven't used this since the winter hit, I have loved the amazing glow this has given me over the summer months and will continue to use it when my skin is clearer - My skin is seriously suffering from the colder months, but as soon as they're over I'll be whipping this stuff out. Its hard to believe it costs the same as an lip butter!

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (£7.19/9g)
You can probably tell by the broken lid and fact that I've hit plan that I use this quite a lot. I've never really bothered with powders until I tried this and just find that it sets my make up without adding any more colour and is perfect for everyday use.

Look Beauty Make Me Blush in Flush (£8.00/8.6g)
Before this year I was so scared of the thought of blushers, Now I own a little collection with this shade being my favourite. It's just such a lovely subtle shade and I love the packaging!

Benefit Sunbeam (£18.50/13ml)
I didn't expect to love this half as much as I do, It just gives the prettiest natural highlight! I really want to pick up MeMeMe's version to see how it compares.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19)
I recently went through a stage of not owning this - and let me tell you NOTHING compares! I don't think I'll be going without anytime soon and will continue to buy.

Witch Anti Blemish Skin Clearing Primer (£6.99/30ml)
Although recently I've been putting other primers to the test, for the best part of 2012 this is all I used - making my way through quite a few bottles. If you have blemish prone skin its worth a try, after all its sitting here above all the other primers I've tried including Benefit.
Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss (£7.99)
Since discovering more lip products I haven't bothered much with lip glosses, although this one from Revlon is just perfect. Not only does it offer longer lasting colour than most lipglosses , you also don't get that awkward stickiness, so its a winner in my book!

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick (£5.49)
This has to be my favourite lipstick ever! Its just a perfect shade, not quite nude but at the same time not too much. I always get a load of complements when wearing it and continue doing  so in 2013.

Nivea Milk & Honey (£1.99)
I've tried lip balms that were so much more expensive than this one, but no where as near as good. I honestly think this is one of the best on the highstreet It just leaves my lips feeling so soft!
I picked this up for £1 earlier in the year and was amazed by the great job it does, I've barely touched my loreal one since as this does such a great job at making my lashes stand out.

MUA Palettes (£4.00)
Generally the haven and Earth palette is the one I use most, although MUA have some other fantastic offerings. I currently own four of these and love them all. Not only are they cheap as chips they're actually great quality.

MUA Eye Primer (£2.50)
This stuff is amazing! You can face it with anything the elements decides to throw at you and your eyeshadow is pretty much granted to stay in place. At just £2.50 I will buy over and over again!

I'm useless with eyeliner, but these felt liners have allowed me to wear liner without applying and reapplying for hours. This ones so easy to use allows you to get a thin line which can be built upon if you wish.
Daily brush cleaner (£3.75/50ml)
Let me start by saying I paid less for 250ml of product, so I'm really disappointed with ELF on that one. But that said this does a great job at cleaning and has lasted me forever.

Avon Angled Brush (£6.00)
I use this to apply my blush and think it does an amazing job, Avon always have an amazing deal on so if you look out you can probably get this half price.

EcoTools Blush Brush (£7.99)
I use this to apply my powder, Its really soft and applies great.

Soap and Glory Clean on Me (£5.50/500ml)
I think this smells amazing, and is worth every penny. I love the fact that this comes with a pump too!

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub (£8.00/300ml)
I think all Soap and Glory body scrubs in general are amazing so had to include on in this post - This is the one I'm currently using which smells great and leaves skin feeling so smooth.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter (£13.00/200ml)
I love all Body Shop Body Butters but feel the Coconut one is just that bit nicer, Its a great thick product with an amazing scent!

So there you have it, my stars of 2012! What products have you been loving this year?

December Favourites!

Can you believe its the last monthly favourites of the year already? I've learnt so much since beginning these posts in January - Looking at the favourites label really reflects that too. All of these products are things I've discovered/rediscovered over the past week or so - but I love each and every one of them! So without any further rambling here are this months favourites:

This foundation was a gift from my Mum on Christmas day, while I could have done with a lighter shade this foundation is really bendable so its easy to make work. Expect a full post soon because I really like it!

I've been using this in the morning before applying my make up. It smells lovely and leaves the skin feeling great, not sure I'd spend £35 on it though, but for now its a nice treat.

I finished a tube of this ages ago, and just didn't bother buying again. But noting seemed to match how amazing this is, I didn't realise how much I loved it until I got it Christmas day and since then I haven't put it down.

I got this, a day cream, cleanser and toner all for just £8 in the sales. My only regret is not stocking up! I included the night cream as so far its  my favourite and leaves my skin feeling so so soft!

This stuff smells great  and leaves my skin feeling amazing - Personally I feel Soap & Glory offer some of the best body scrubs and have a few to get through after Christmas and sale shopping!

In the past I've had a few mini bottles of this although this is my first full sized bottle and I'm loving it! I also got another shower gel from Soap & Glory in the sales so look forward to trying that too.

If you havent guessed it I'm blonde, so thought I'd pick a set of these up for £6 on boxing day. I automatically went back for a back up after trying them. They just leave my hair feeling so soft, light and clean. Even two days after washing my hair looks clean, when normally I'd be ripping out the dry shampoo. Even my mum commented that my hair looks blonder - After just one use!

Teamed with the Shampoo and Conditioner my hair feels great! I managed to pick up this with a salt spray,  hairspray and cleansing shampoo in a lovely bag for just £9 - Bargain!
