The Body Shop's Tea Tree Range..

I couldn't resist last month when I saw that The Body Shop had 40% off of everything, So I put in an order for a few bits including both the Skin Clearing Lotion and Night Lotion from  the Tea Tree range. As always with skincare posts, I'll point out that I have relatively normal skin - although I'm prone to the occasional spot here and there. This gets worse during exam season where I find myself breaking out a lot more - Today was actually my last exam, so I figured I'd tell you guys how the pair of these did.
The Tea Tree Skin Clearing lotion is a lightweight gel which absorbs almost instantly into my skin, I've seen may comments on TSB website on how people have successfully used it as a primer/moisturiser although personally I just have it on my beside table and apply it whenever I feel the need to along side my normal skincare routine. I find it gives a lovely cooling sensation which lets you know it's getting to work and I also found it to be very hydrating.
This lotion is available in Body Shop stores or online for £8/50ml
My first reaction to the night lotion was it has a pump! Which is something I love in all of my beauty products as I just find it more hygienic and I seem to use less product. But on the down side of the packaging, I have no idea how much of this product I have used or more importantly how much I have left. That aside, I have used 1-2 pumps of this every night for a month now and its still going. I would say this is more of a cream texture compered to the gel of the other lotion and have to say I noticed an immediate difference in the difference in my skin the first time I used it along side my night cream.
This is £9/30ml from Body shop stores or online.
I couldn't comment much on what they've done for my skin individually as I've used the pair along side each other. While I think the skin clearing lotion is great throughout the day the night cream gives your skin that  extra boost while you sleep. As I mentioned before I've just ended my three week exam period, normally my face would look like a pizza but I honestly have just a few small blemishes. I noticed before using this I'd developed some small scaring around my cheek area which has been dramatically reduced over this past month. I don't think you need both of these products, but one is worth an investment - Its just a case of personal preference although I couldn't pick between the pair!

Free body shop with InStyle

This month InStyle magazine (£3.80) are offering two free eyeliners (worth £16) or a free mascara (worth £10) for every reader.

I went for the free eyeliners as I already picked up a mascara freebie this month- although the mascara still looks promising. Did you pick this freebie up?

Marie Claire freebie!

I tried my hardest to resist this freebie after buying way to many magazines this month - Honest! But today I finally gave in and decided I needed a treat in the form of the Body Shop's lip and cheek stain!

Sadly my local newsagents only had 'Bronze Glimmer' left, although I was really lusting after 'Rose pink'. I still picked it up though - Because it was a total bargin at £3.70!

'Bronze Glimmer' is probally the shade I've heard less about in terms of blogging (Because everyone went out and brought rose pink! Thanks guys.)
I wouldnt say this shade looks pratically bronze outside of the tube, Infact the colour reminds me of my Peach Parfait lip butter - only with about twenty times more gold glitter, Not the best look in the world..
I wouldnt dare wear this on my cheeks in fear that I'd be scubbing off glitter for the next three months, But on the right skin tone i'm sure this would look lovely. You can still pick this up in Junes Issue of Marie Claire magazine for just £3.70, I also spotted that next months freebie was worth looking out for:

'We’ve got obsessions...

I want to erase every nasty thought that bugs me every day of every week, We’ve got obsessions,
You never tell me what it is that makes you strong and what it is that makes you weak.'

I've recently rediscovered Marina and the diamonds and seem to have her songs playing over and over again until the point 'Obsessions' is now installed in my brain. So I figured I would dedicate a post to my top three beauty related obsessions - That and I can't be bothered with a review post - Its Sunday after all!

First up is nails, we'll it had to be really. I think it's now come to the point that I own more nail polishes than items of clothing. In recent months I've tried to slow my nail polish buying down, The last time I brought one was about two weeks ago - a new record for me I think! It wasn't I left school that I fell in love with nail polish. Of course it was banned there - Along with all the other fun stuff. So if you think about it the British education system is to blame for my obsession, If I wasn't restricted in the first place I wouldn't be this bad, Right? (We'll that's what I'm gonna keep telling myself!)

Next up is lip products; I'm not quite sure how this happened if I'm honest. I've never really bothered with my lips, they've always just been there - but over the course of a month I went from having about two lip products to enough to last me a few lifetimes. Above are some of the beauty's I picked up this month. I'm really enjoying the natural collection lipsticks - Amazing quality and such a low price point!

After nails and lips, I bet you were expecting eyes or something. But nope, My love for the body shop beats everything. As soon as I say those three little words a series of moans follow from my friends, They don't understand my obsession - Neither do I. The prices annoy me. The deals annoy me more. Every time I see the 50% off sign I'm in the store like there's no tomorrow - £6.25 for a body butter how cheap! It isn't until I leave I start to realise how not cheap that was, If anywhere else tried to sell me a product I use so quickly for £6.25 I'd laugh. Its a bit like buying a top in Primark, I wouldn't pay a tenner for a top there - But I'd see the same top in New Look for the same price and think how cheap! Let's face it - The Body Shop is my new look for body products - My purse isn't happy at all!

I hope you enjoyed this little ramble as much as I did - Clearly I need a life!

March Favourites!

I love Strawberries & Milkshake exfoliating shower smoothie | No7 Quick Thinking wipes | The Body Shop Wild Cherry body butter | Barry M nail paint in Peach Melba | Miss Sporty's Dr Balm | Rimmel London Lycra Pro in Orange Bliss | Tresemme Split mend intense recovery masque

I cant say this months favourites are too exciting, I spent half of the month ill and the other half studying for exams meaning I didn't get a chance to try out a lot of new products (Although I made up for that this weekend, Spending a ridiculous amount of money on beauty related products, Many reviews to come!)

Like all I love products, the Strawberries & Milkshake exfoliating shower smoothie didn't fail to impress me with its amazing scent. This cost around two pound so a complete bargain too!
The No7 Quick Thinking wipes were honestly a product I wanted to hate, because to me seven pound for a pack of wipes is just stupid. Annoyingly I loved them, I got in the habit of using them while I was ill, I love how moisturising they were on my skin!
I brought the Wild Cherry Body Butter a couple of days ago and its already a firm favourite read more of my thoughts- Here
I never understood the hype about Barry M, While I loved their Effect polishes I couldn't get along with the two normal nail paints I had, That was until I tried this product. I can safely say I will be trying more colours.
Dr Balm honestly impressed me more than the famous lip butters (I got my hands on one yesterday and wasn't too impressed) which I will be reviewing soon. My favourite shade is 03 which I have currently missed placed, Read more on my thoughts and see more pictures- Here
When I first used the Lycra Pro range about a year ago I wasn't too impressed by the brush, But after giving it another go after the weekend I love it!
Lastly but not least, The BEST spilt end treatment I have ever tried- My hair felt amazing after trying this, I would recommend it to anyone with damaged hair

On a side note, I changed the banner today- What do you guys think?

Wild Cherry Body Butter

I'm quickly becoming a big fan of The Body Shop! After receiving a gift set for Christmas I had to have a look around the store (Especially after seeing the sale sign!)
I have really liked using strawberry body butter that came in my gift set, So wanted a replacement for when it runs out. This one caught my eye, I'm not sure I would spend £12.50 on it - But a fiver seemed pretty reasonable.

I really like the smell of this body butter, Unlike other 'Cherry' scents, This seems less artificial and overpowering and more subtle.
The body butter itself is quite thin in texture and absorbs into the skin quickly - A little goes a long way meaning it should last me a while too!
I love how moisturised it left my skin in just one use, I think I may have to pick up a few back ups!
