Bourjois Lip Kit

I've always been a huge fan of Bourjois lipsticks, so when I spotted these lip kits in my local Boots I knew I had to give them a go! Each kit comes with a Rouge Edition Velvet Matte Lipstick Lipstick and a matching lip liner. There are three different shades on offer; Nude-ist, Don't pink of it and Peach club, although I've never been a fan of peach shades so I opted for the other two.
I think these are great value when you consider that one of these liquid lipsticks retails at £8.99 alone, and here you're getting an additional lip liner, and some helpful tips for just £3 more! Before I picked these up I was already a huge fan of the individual lipsticks, which these are essentially an 'expansion' of, as all three of these shades is also sold individually. So if you're not bothered by lip liners save yourself a few quid and just by them on their own.
With that being said I really enjoy using these lip kits and adore both shades (see below; Nudeist top, Dont pink of it bottom), theyre both really long lasting and comfortable to wear on the lips. They certainly give more expensive lipkits on the market a run for their money!

Balmi Cube Lip Balm in Raspberry

If there's one thing that's become a bit of a handbag essential as of late its this cube balm from Balmi. I spotted this half price in the Boots Christmas sale and have to give it ago. I own way too many lip balms, yet I'm a complete nightmare at keeping track of them meaning I find the design of this ingenious. Complete with a handy keyring meaning I almost always have it with me, this lip balm is designed to be mess free enabling you to apply directly to the lips. The balm itself is wonderful quality too and melts effortlessly onto the lips leaving them feeling soft and if thats not enough, It smells divine!

These retail for £4.99 in Boots which I think is pretty reasonable considering unless I loose my keys I wont feel the need to buy another lip balm until this runs out! However I do happen to already own a back up after spotting these in the 70% off sales!

Memebox Superbox #49 All About Lips

I feel like I say this every time I review a Memebox, but I definitely feel like this is my favourite yet and there have been a fair few (which you can view here). In case you've managed to miss my mass of Memebox posts, Memebox are a Korean beauty box service who ship to around an incredible 44 countries around the world. The site offers a range of different kind of boxes, although today I will be sharing Superbox #49 which has the all about lips theme. I pretty much have a draw dedicated to lip products so if ever there was a memebox made for me this is it.
RiRe Tick Tock Lip Gloss ($18) - Admittedly it took me a little while to work out how to use this one, you simply screw off the lid then press the button at the top to reveal a hidden brush. I got the shade peach orange which is a lot brighter than the shades I normally go for, although Its nice to have something different in my collection!

Cheek Room Color Lips ($10) - Surprisingly the only lipstick in this box is this one from color room. Although it has a list of pretty impressive claims meaning I cant wait to put it to the test! I got the shade Orange Peach and am starting to sense a bit of a theme in terms of shades here.

Royal Nature Paint Mousse Lip Lacquer ($24) - I was excited to see this 'mousse-type lip lacquer' in my box, again I got quite a bold colour in the form of 'hot place' which is a VERY bright pink, although its nice to have a different shade in my collection and I cant wait to try it out.

Shara Shara Petit friend tint balm ($8) - I think this pretty balm is super cute and cant wait to throw it into my bag as it smells amazing! The idea behind it is that there's both a tint and balm in the tin making it a fab 2-in-1 product.

Cheek Room Lip Tint ($10) - Most lip tints in the UK happen to be in those nail polish style bottles so its nice to she this one in such a practical form! Again I got the orange shade, but I love that this is a lighter colour and cant wait to put it to work

Very Six 6 Seconds Kissing Lip Gloss ($17) - Out of all of the products, I think this is the one I'm most excited about, its one of those glosses that adapts to you and I love the feeling of it on my lips!
Bottom-Top: RiRe Tick Tock Lip Gloss, Cheek Room Color Lips, Royal Nature Paint Mousse Lip Lacquer and Cheek Room Lip Tint

So there you have it, everything in my latest Memebox! While this box retails at $23 on the Memebox website, the value is an amazing $87 so you really get your moneys worth! Have you used Memebox before?

Current favourite lip product..

If there is one lip product I've been loving lately it's this liquid lipstick from Loreal. I picked up Molto Mauve on a whim last month and have been sporting it ever since! The product itself comes in this rather expensive looking  packaging complete with labels on the side and bottom to demonstrate the shade inside which I think is a lovely idea especially for someone with as many lip products as I have!
Application with this beauty is made really easy with a lip gloss like applicator, unlike some other pigmented lip products this liquid lipstick doesn't cling to dry areas or take a million coats to look even. Instead users are left with a perfect shade in one swipe. Molto Mauve is pretty much a slightly darker 'my lips but better shade', I adore the look of it on my lips and despite being really natural looking you can definitely tell you have something on because of the beautiful glossy finish it delivers. Despite this finish this product isn't sticky on the lips at all, in fact it feels very nourishing and i love the feel of it on.
Overall I love this product, while i personally wouldn't label it as a 'liquid lipstick' It acts brilliantly as a pigmented lipgloss, meaning you would have to top it up throughout the day. Its not the cheapest product on the block at £8.99 but in my opinion its just worth it for the look and feel of the product itself (Plus theres always some sort of offer on the highstreet!)

My current top five lip products

Hi Guys, I hope you're all well! Although I had posts up all week, they were scheduled I haven't had the chance to write a post in nearly a week now because of my exams (only two more go!) It's lovely to be blogging again today. I also hit 200 GFC followers and 30,000 page views last night which was amazing - Thank you to each and every one of you who have taken the time to read, follow and comment on this blog! I try so so many lip products every month, and although I've found many that I love, very few manage to make it into my make up routine. I've noticed lately that there are five products that I find myself reaching for above the others - mainly consisting of nudes!
From left - right; Rimmel lasting finish in shade 101, Revlon lipgloss in orchid, Revlon just bitten balm stain in honey, Revlon lipgloss in peony, Look Beauty in Petal nude

Rimmel Lasting finish by Kate in shade 101

This has to me my favourite lipstick in my make up collection - It pretty much lives in my bag since it seems to go perfectly with every make up look! As always I have linked my full review above so I'd recommend checking that out if you want to here more about this - Its worth every penny!

Revlon Lipglosses

I some how ended up with two of these, one was a gift from a friend and the other sent to me by Revlon after I won a Christmas giveaway of theirs. I personally think these are the best lipglosses on the highstreet, while Orchid offers an amazingly pigmented purpley pink shade, Peony is a lovely 'everyday' subtle pink shimmer which I love. I find them both to be non sticky and non drying!

Revlon balm stain in honey

I've been loving this and hope to have a full review up soon, I love how it glides onto the lips so effortlessly and leaves a non drying stain! The colour is so me too!

Look Beauty Loud Lips in Petal Nude

Again I have linked a full review above it's just a perfect nude but a little bit more shade! Half price at the moment too!

Which lip products do you find yourself reaching for?

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 101

I wasn't going to buy this lipstick.. I swear! I have a whole draw full of unloved lipsticks, which doesn't need anymore. Although when I saw this for around £3.98 in Savers I had to have it! Luckily This was the last one in the shade 101 which I have been lusting the most over - I think I still need 113 in my life.
This is my first lipstick from Rimmel and I have been left very impressed! The first thing I noticed when I opened this was the lovely sweet smell it gives off unlike the many unscented boring ones which remain in the draw. I'm a nudey kind of girl and I think this is perfect who want to try something a little brighter without it being too much.
I am so In love with this colour and I am so so happy I picked it up! It feels comfortable on the lips and wears for a good amount of time too. Since buying I've worn it pretty much everyday, and received a bunch of compliments from my friends who seem to love this shade too!
I am so impressed by this lipstick and cant wait to try more from the Kate Moss range, I'm not sure if you can still pick it up cheaper in Savers but you can still find in Boots and Superdrug stores for £5.49 - Its worth every penny!

MUA lipstick in shade 3

I've had my eye on MUA's lipstick in shade 3 for a while now, So when I popped in my local superdrug over the weekend I had to pick it up! Like all other shades in the range shade 3 is housed in a simple black plastic case which looks as if it could take a beating or two in my handbag.

Shade 3 transfers to the lips as a lovely highly pigmented pinky raspberry shade, which I think will look great against most skin tones. Like all MUA lipsticks I found it to be both long lasting and moisturising on the lips.
You can pick this up for just a £1 in selected superdrug stores or online from MUA

MUA Lipstick in Bare

I am determined to someday own every MUA product available, one lipstick at a time! I've said time and time again that 'Bare' was a shade I really wanted to try from MUA, Although most of the time its sold out in all my local superdrugs so It was the first thing that went in my basket when ordering online.

I think 'Bare' is my favourite shade from the MUA line so far, Its a lovely natural nude colour which is perfect for everyday wear. Like all the MUA lipsticks I've tried I found that 'Bare' is mositurising on the lips and lasts a good while  before you need to top the colour up. At just £1 this is a total steal.
You can pick 'Bare' up from selected Superdrug stores and over at MUA's website

MUA Lipstick in shade 12

When swatching what seemed like the whole of Superdrug last month, 'Shade 12' from MUA really stood out to me. Like all of the MUA lipsticks I've tried 'Shade 12' is pigmented, long lasting and amazing value for money. The shade is a lovely buildable pink colour with a lovely hint of shimmer.

Above shows the lipstick with just one swipe and the second with a few. Overall I'm really liking MUA lipsticks at the moment and have set my sights on shade 3! What are your favourite products from MUA?
You can pick these up in selected Superdrug stores, or online from muastore.co.uk

Chit Chat 'Juicy Lipstick'

I couldn't resist picking this 'Juicy lipstick' up while browsing in poundland, after all the hype surrounding the similar designs of the Chubby Sticks and the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains.
Chit Chat 'Juicy lipsticks' come housed in a plastic crayon style  packaging which reflects the colour of the inside product, you simply twist to reveal more of the lipstick.

Although I would have preferred a lighter shade, I ended up picking up 'Damson' as It was the only one they had in store. I found the shade to be a well pigmented buildable bight pinky red which is far from the normal sheer nudes I love.

You can pick these up in Poundland, I know I'm going back for the lighter shades !

ColorTrend: plumped pink lipgloss

I'm pretty excited about ColorTend this month because when I was flicking through my friends Avon book I spotted that they had changed their packaging like I suspected in this post, I love the new look and have already put in an order for a couple of bits!

I picked this plumped pink lipgloss up for £2.50 from Avon (normal price £4) a few months ago, the purpley pink colour isn't something I would normally go for - But it looked so lovely on the model that I had to give it ago! The packaging is amazing, It's so unique and it really stands out against my other lip products.

The gloss itself was lovely and pigmented as well as being comfortable to wear on the lips, It doesnt feel like other plumping lip products I've tried that sting - The only way I can sum up the feeling of this gloss is like a fresh feeling that only lasts around a few minutes before disappearing anyway. It isn't too sticky to wear and I can see myself wearing it lots over the summer.  What do you guys think of Colortrends new look!?

Loud lips : Toffee Cup

Today I wanted to share with you guys my last lipstick from the loud lips collection.  'Toffee Cup' - is a browny pink which transfers on the lips as a lovely nude colour taking me completely buy surprise.
Like with all the look lipsticks, 'Toffee cup' comes packaged in a cute little box and is housed inside the magnetic case (which I've said time and time again how much I love!)

I think the colour is my favourite in the range, The wearability of it took my by compete surprise - I love how it looks with my skin tone! The colour reminded me a little of MUA's 'Bare', however when swatching them I found 'Toffee cup' to be a lot pinker in appearance than 'Bare' and a little more pigmented

I found 'Toffee cup' both comfortable to wear and non drying on the lips. You can pick these up over at the look website for £7 or in selected superdrug stores! Read my thoughts on 'Tangerine cream'  and 'Baby doll' by clicking on the name.

Loud lips: Tangerine cream

Following my thoughts on 'Baby doll' Thursday, I figured I'd show you the next shade look beauty have to offer. Shade two is appropriately named 'Tangerine cream', The shade is a light orangey colour with a hint of pink thrown into the mix (Although I'm rubbish at describing shades, That's what the pictures are for!)

Again I'm in love with the packaging, its so stylish yet grown up at the same time! The lipsticks come packaged in a cute little box rather than just sealed with plastic which for me is a lovely extra touch.

The magnet just sells this lipstick to me - It makes it look so much higher end than its reasonable £7 price tag! (Plus its fun to play with)

I love the colour the lipstick gives, Finally the wearable orange shade I have been searching for! It can be a little patchy when applying on the lips - But I find if you trace over the lips with your fingers It looks lovely!
You can pick this lipstick up for £7 here, or in selected Superdrug stores.

Balance Me goodies with Glamour

I'm a sucker for a good magazine freebie and this one caught my eye from the moment I saw it in last months issue of Glamour. I've said time and time again that I do have a love for Glamour, while without the freebies I wouldn't buy it (or any other magazines for that matter) I love how they offer such amazing freebies like Nails inc, Benefit and even L'Occitane for just £2! Admittedly the L'Occitane issue was priced at £2.49 - But let me tell you the hydration cream was worth every penny of that extra 49p!

This months august issue offers readers a choice of Balance me's; Pure skin face wash,Wonder Eye Cream, Balancing Face Moisturise and Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve. I went for the lip salve purely because I need another lip product to add to my oversized lip product collection. But I can see myself going back for the Face wash and moisturiser by the end of this month (Why not at just £2 a pop). The eye cream just doesn't appeal to me purely because I just wouldn't use it - But I still think this is a great selection of goodies!

So far I really like this 'Lip Slave' - It leaves my lips looking glossy and feeling nourished, I will post a full review once I've had the chance to really test the product.
Will you be buying this months Glamour?

Look Beauty Lipstick in Baby Doll

I picked up a look beauty lipstick in 'Baby Doll' in the sale this week for just £4 (Previously £7), 'Baby Doll' is probably the brightest shade I picked up, along with toffee cup and tangerine cream - Its hard to believe that just a few months ago I didn't own any lipsticks at all!
The thing I lost most about the whole look beauty range has to be the packaging - I love how its so stylish yet grown up at the same time if that makes any sense. The lipsticks come packaged in a cute little box rather than just sealed with plastic which for me is a lovely extra touch.

The lipstick itself is the prettiest I own, Admittedly my most expensive one was about £8 (I'm a high street kinda girl) But still for just £7 (or £4 on sale) The design of this is wonderful - I'm a big fan of the magnet which holds the lid on to the point of playing with it for hours because its so damn cool (Yes, I lead a sad life)

I would describe this colour as a buildable light bright pink. The formula is well pigmented and creamy which is petty much everything I look for in a lipstick. You can pick this member of the loud lips range here (Sadly they're full price again!)

KissGloss: Murray Hill Melon

I picked this up as part of a 3 for 2 deal in superdrug when buying the NYC lipsticks and was pleasantly surprised. I had simply reached for it after needing something else to compete the offer (I believe it was around £1.59) I wasn't really expecting to like this as its far from the normal natural colours I love so much.

Although when trying it for the first time I fell for the bold well pigmented colour, Its not too sticky and lasts a good while. Amazing value for the price, the only downside I would say is that you are promised a 'flavoured shine' - I cant say I experienced that.

Ultra last lip wear: Peach Fizz

I'm always on the look out for that perfect peach lip colour although I have struggled finding it with my skin tone, so when I saw NYC's offering for just £1.49 I jumped at the chance to try it.
.

Like Snowcone, peach fuzz is comfortable to wear and delivers a lovely metallicy colour which looks great on the lip.

You can pick these and other members of the Ultra last lipwear range up at superdrug for just £1.49

Ultra last lipwear: Snowcone

I've never tried anything from NYC before - but when I spotted lipsticks for under £1.50 I couldn't turn a blind eye.

The formula of this shade feels comfortable on the lips - almost moisturising.I think this shade is best described as a wearable bright metallic pink - never in a million years do I see myself wearing a shade like this when swatched (I live my natural shades far too much for anything this bold). Yet once on I actually quite like this shade and would consider wearing it outside of the house!
You can pick the ultra last lip wear range up in superdrug for just £1.49
