Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Pen in Black Excess

Despite trying tones of beauty products every year, there's one product I've never been able to master! If you haven't guessed from the title already, I'm talking about eyeliner, although this new launch from Maybelline has been a complete game changer for me, and thanks to the ease of application has become a staple in my make up bag.
I've had my eye on the They're real push up liner since posts first started popping up around a month ago, although at nearly £20 I was pretty determined to find a cheaper alternative and as you can imagine I was over the moon when I saw this Lasting Drama gel liner from Maybelline.
While this isn't the cheapest product around at £8.99, its around £10 cheaper than the Benefit alternative! The design is also really similar being a gel formula in a pen form with a flexible angled tip. You simply turn the bottom of the pen once to release the product, although if too much spills out like in the below picture be sure to wipe any excess away.
I really like the packaging of this, not only is it clean and simple the fact that you screw the lid into place insures the liner is kept in the best possible state and is less likely to dry out.  As I've already mentioned liner is also a gel formula means that you still get that intensity which comes with classic gel liners with the ease of a pen style applicator. This angled tip also allows users to control the thickness of their desired line. Once applied this lasted all day on me without any problems. Although this isn't the easiest product to get off so I'd recommend using a good remover along side it (I found Bioderma works a treat).
Overall I think this is a great little product, and potentially a fantastic Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner Dupe! You can find it on the highstreet for £8.99, although as always look out for offers!

Makeup Revolution The One Concealer

Continuing my love affair with Makeup Revolution, I figured today I would share my new favourite under eye concealer with you guys. I've been wanting to try a hydrating concealer for some time now, so when I spotted this beauty on the Makeup Revolution's website I had to give it a try! Makeup Revolution's the one concealer in  the shade light is one of the lightest concealers I've discovered on the high street which makes it great for brightening my under eye area, and prefect for the pale among us! Although with that in mind there is a medium and dark shade available too!
The balmy outer ring leaves the skin under my eyes feeling nourished throughout the day. Makeup Revolution's the one concealer also manages to last all day without any cracking. The packaging is pretty sturdy and looks like it could survive my handbag, although if there's one fault with this it would be that the gold writing fades awfully quickly, in fact there isn't a trace of it left on my current tube.
I love this little bargain find! You can get yours for just £3 here.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette

If there's one product everyone seems to be talking about lately it's this little beauty from Make Up Revolution.  At just £4, this palette appears to be a pretty good match to Urban Decay's Naked 3 filled with 12 rosey toned neutrals. The Iconic 3 provides a real mix of shimmer and matt shades meaning there's something for everyone and I was really pleased to find that these matt shades were just as good as their shimmey counter parts which isn't always guaranteed with cheaper eyeshadows.
While personally I prefer creating looks with the darker shades towards the right of the palette, I have been pleasantly surprised with wearability of some of the pinker shades. Applied on top of a decent eye primer the eyeshadow was still around eight hours later, albeit a little faded. As you can see below the shades are pretty pigmented considering the low price tag, although unfortunately the first shade matches with my skintone so isn't visible here.
At just £4 I think this palette is a complete steal! Have you tried anything from make up revolution?

MUA Eyebrow kit.

I've never really been a brow person, It was only a few months ago that clear mascara became a must have in my make up bag and even that's something I refuse to pay a lot for. Having blogged for over a year now I've seen many these sorts of kits before, but the idea of paying in some cases £20+ for something I might not even like wasn't a welcomed thought. Although when MUA released this little kit for just £3.50 I had to see what all the fuss was about.
For the small price tag you get; Two brow shades, a highlight, brow gel, tweezers, and a little brush. This also comes with a pretty big mirror built in too, Which is always a lovely bonus.
Personally I find the highlight is miles too orange for my skin tone and the darkest brown is obviously way too dark for my dark blonde eyebrows, leaving just the lighter shade and gel for me to use.(Although I'm pretty sure that I'f I really wanted to I could find something to do with these other two powders) I find the lighter shade is a really good match for my eyebrows and leaves them defined without being too obvious and the gel does a good job although I prefer using a clear mascara to lock my eyebrows into place.

Normally I dont use the brushes that come with palettes although I really like this angled one you get (I use one side for the powder the other for gel) And the tweezers arent half bad, I mean I hated them to start with because I'm used to longer ones although I really like these ones now I've got the hang of them and love the fact everything you need eyebrow wise is in this lovely little kit!
I think this little kit is brillant for just £3.50, although currently on offer for just £3. You can get your own here.

MUA Extreme Felt Eyeliner

I am terribly bad at eyeliner or anything that involves some kind of skill when it comes to make up - so when I saw this felt one from MUA for just £2 I figured I'd give it a go. I've tried all sorts of eyeliners; pencils, liquid, gels but nothing has been easier than this little beauty.

MUA's extreme felt eyeliner makes topping of a look with liner possible for us less skilled out there - For the first time in a long time I managed to wear eyeliner out today. I love that with this you can control how thick you want the line - Making a simple flick so easy!

The image to the left shows the eyeliner when first applied and the image to the right shows it after eight whole hours which is pretty impressive especially when you consider it only cost £2!
You can pick this up in selected superdrug stores or here

MUA: Glamour Days

I was really happy to finally get my hands on a couple of Mua eye shadow palettes last week - and they did not disappoint! Glamour days stood out to me, with a great range of different yet usable colours, at just £4 it was a total bargain! Plus these little beauty's were on the 3 for 2 offer making them even cheaper!

The pigmentation of these was pretty impressive, even without considering the low price point. This will make a great addition to my far too over sized make up bag!

Bottom row:

The last four colours are my favourite my far, I would pay the full price of the palette just for them! What do you guys make of this palette?

Avon Glimmerstick Eye Liner

I'm always on the look out for a great eye liner, So when I saw this one from Avon- I had to give it ago,
After all who wouldn't want an eye liner that promises smooth gliding with precision lining that wont drag or smudge lasting up to 12 hours!

I really enjoyed using this eye liner, It is one of the best I have ever used,
Avon weren't lying when they said it glides on smoothly, I found it so comfortable to use!
Considering I'm pretty terrible when it comes to using eye liners this was so easy for me to use,

It also does a bloody good job at staying put all day, I cant wait to try it in more colours!
Avon Glimmerstick Eye Liners are currently two for £8 on Avons website, to get yours click HERE

Soap & Glory - Thick & Fast

I mentioned a few posts back that I received a free Soap & Glory mascara with Elle magazine,

'This false lash effect mascara creates amazingly, longer, fuller, fabulous lashes. Featuring SUPERFILL™ False Lash Fillers, SHINE AMPLIFIERS, and NOFLAKE24 technology'

I was a little worried about the brush size at first, after trying 'Collection 2000's big false lash effect mascara'- I've tended to stay away from them, That was until I discovered this little beauty!

The black and pink packaging is pretty simple, although I've always been a huge fan of Soap & Glory's normal fun packaging!

I really enjoyed using this brush- Despite the bush being pretty big the end of it allowed me to get right into the corner lashes.

And now for my shockingly bad before and after images- For some reason I couldn't get the lighting right and ended up using the flash- My eyes just look terrible!

After just one coat, I love the look it gives my lashes. Its quickly become my everyday mascara!

The mascara retails for £10 and can be found here at boots, I definitely see myself buying this over and over again!

Warm Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette

I thought I'd share a few images of this little bargain, I picked it up for just £3.75 on ELF's Website- and I'm so glad I did, Here's why..

Such a great mix of warm colours, I was very impressed by the second row- Such a lovely mix of browns.
I was really surprised by the pigmentation of the shadows- after swatching the first row I wasn't really expecting much- But it really improved thoughout the palette..Overall I love this palette, I cant say I see myself using all of the colours, although there are a good few I cant wait to use!

My GlossyBox experience.

For months I had watched other countless GlossyBox posts made by other bloggers.  I really like the idea of beauty boxes- I think they give everyone a great chance to try out different products. So when I saw the contents of the December  GlossyBox, I knew I had to have it! I hinted at My Mum for a couple of days about the box (I even found her a £5 discount code!) Until to my delight she asked me to help her order myself one on the 19th of December (Which was the last day for ordering, Phew!)
The box was delivered on the 23rd, which I thought was pretty quick with it being so near to Christmas – Although Royal mail had battered the box a fair bit! I wasn’t allowed to open the box until Christmas day. It was the first thing I headed to when I woke up- Which was at 5am thanks to my nine year old sister!
I was really happy with the contents of my Glossy box:

I won’t go into much detail about the products, which I’m sure you’ve heard way to much about from other bloggers. Although one product did really annoy me:

I understand that GlossyBox are catering for a huge audience and cannot make everyone happy, But I sat and filled in questions about my skin, which I assumed would come into consideration. There was even a question which asked my age!
Despite this, overall  I was actually really happy with the box...It was possibly my best present because it was a bit of a surprise, And I loved all of the other products!

My personal favourites had to be; The blink + Go Mascara,  The Hammam Delight shower gel, and of course the glitter polish!  I will probably do independent reviews for them soon, because I like them that much!  So much so that the mascara and shower gel have found themselves in my daily routine!
I didn’t want to make this post until I had cancelled the glossy box account, I haven’t seen much information about cancelling a glossy box account, The website just said ‘you may cancel at any time by emailing contact@glossybox.co.uk with your account details. You may also re-subscribe at a later date. There is no minimum subscription term. ‘ I wasn’t sure what my account details were, So I just filled in my name and Email and told them that I would like to cancel my GlossyBox subscription. I did this on the 28th of December and received a response on the 3rd of January telling me that my subscription had been cancelled.
Personally, If I had the money every month I would definitely love to stay subscribed to them!  I love the idea of a box of surprises coming in the post every month!
Do you guys subscribe to any beauty boxes?

Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow

While looking at the Natural collection products, I also picked this little beauty up;

For only £1.99, you get two eyeshadows, (Mocha/latte) both great colours!

Despite my love of browns, I have found myself using the creamy/white eyeshadow more.
It gives my eyes a more 'alive' look, which I love!
Another great product that has earned its way into my make up bag !
