MUA Extreme Felt Eyeliner

I am terribly bad at eyeliner or anything that involves some kind of skill when it comes to make up - so when I saw this felt one from MUA for just £2 I figured I'd give it a go. I've tried all sorts of eyeliners; pencils, liquid, gels but nothing has been easier than this little beauty.

MUA's extreme felt eyeliner makes topping of a look with liner possible for us less skilled out there - For the first time in a long time I managed to wear eyeliner out today. I love that with this you can control how thick you want the line - Making a simple flick so easy!

The image to the left shows the eyeliner when first applied and the image to the right shows it after eight whole hours which is pretty impressive especially when you consider it only cost £2!

Loud lips : Toffee Cup

Today I wanted to share with you guys my last lipstick from the loud lips collection.  'Toffee Cup' - is a browny pink which transfers on the lips as a lovely nude colour taking me completely buy surprise.

Like with all the look lipsticks, 'Toffee cup' comes packaged in a cute little box and is housed inside the magnetic case (which I've said time and time again how much I love!)

I think the colour is my favourite in the range, The wearability of it took my by compete surprise - I love how it looks with my skin tone! The colour reminded me a little of MUA's 'Bare', however when swatching them I found 'Toffee cup' to be a lot pinker in appearance than 'Bare' and a little more pigmented

Wake me up foundation in ivory

When I heard that good old wilko's was selling Rimmel's latest offering 'Wake me up' foundation for just £4.99 - I suddenly needed it in my life. After all everyone seemed to be branding it 'amazing' after its release and comparing it to more expensive bands.

The store had run out of testers and I was in a rush, so I just picked up the lightest shade the stand had to offer 'Ivory'. The foundation has some pretty impressive claims: 'Our first foundation that visibly reawakens and illuminates skin with a radiant glow and flawless, natural looking finish instant anti-fatigue effect, With preptides and a vitamin mosituring complex'

The first thing I noticed is the amount of shimmer in the the foundation when I first tested it on my arm which I guess is where the 'Radiant glow' claim came from. I found it to be quite messy (hints the amount of foundation which made it onto the bottle in the above image) The shade its self was too dark for me and plain orange when I applied it to my face.

I really wanted to love this foundation and have a feeling I would have done if Rimmel made a paler shade. You can pick this up at Superdrug or Boots for £8.99 (currently on offer in Boots for £6.99) or you can find it at Wilkinsons for just £4.99

Loud lips: Tangerine cream

Following my thoughts on 'Baby doll' Thursday, I figured I'd show you the next shade look beauty have to offer. Shade two is appropriately named 'Tangerine cream', The shade is a light orangey colour with a hint of pink thrown into the mix (Although I'm rubbish at describing shades, That's what the pictures are for!)

Again I'm in love with the packaging, its so stylish yet grown up at the same time! The lipsticks come packaged in a cute little box rather than just sealed with plastic which for me is a lovely extra touch. 

The magnet just sells this lipstick to me - It makes it look so much higher end than its reasonable £7 price tag! (Plus its fun to play with)

I love the colour the lipstick gives, Finally the wearable orange shade I have been searching for! It can be a little patchy when applying on the lips - But I find if you trace over the lips with your fingers It looks lovely!

Balance Me goodies with Glamour

I'm a sucker for a good magazine freebie and this one caught my eye from the moment I saw it in last months issue of Glamour. I've said time and time again that I do have a love for Glamour, while without the freebies I wouldn't buy it (or any other magazines for that matter) I love how they offer such amazing freebies like Nails inc, Benefit and even L'Occitane for just £2! Admittedly the L'Occitane issue was priced at £2.49 - But let me tell you the hydration cream was worth every penny of that extra 49p!

This months august issue offers readers a choice of Balance me's; Pure skin face wash,Wonder Eye Cream, Balancing Face Moisturise and Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve. I went for the lip salve purely because I need another lip product to add to my oversized lip product collection. But I can see myself going back for the Face wash and moisturiser by the end of this month (Why not at just £2 a pop). The eye cream just doesn't appeal to me purely because I just wouldn't use it - But I still think this is a great selection of goodies! 

So far I really like this 'Lip Slave' - It leaves my lips looking glossy and feeling nourished, I will post a full review once I've had the chance to really test the product.

Undressed - Eyeshadow Palette

This palette has caused a bit of a stir in the amongst beauty bloggers lately, and I can see why - The range of colours is stunning and a proud addition anyone's make up bag. The words 'Naked Palette' have been thrown around a lot by pretty much everyone reviewing this baby and its pretty obvious why when there is such a resemblance between the pair. Its seems this wasn't a mistake on MUA's part - Naked, Undressed - I see what they did there!

I cant compare this to the Naked palette personally because I don't own it, I do however feel that this is a great alternative at a low price based on swatches I have seen of the pair.

Like the 'Going for Gold palette' , Undressed comes complete with labelled shades and a mini master-class to give users ideas on how to use the palette

How impressive is that bottom row?! I'm in love with shades six, eight and nine!

Look Beauty Lipstick in Baby Doll

I picked up a look beauty lipstick in 'Baby Doll' in the sale this week for just £4 (Previously £7), 'Baby Doll' is probably the brightest shade I picked up, along with toffee cup and tangerine cream - Its hard to believe that just a few months ago I didn't own any lipsticks at all!

The thing I lost most about the whole look beauty range has to be the packaging - I love how its so stylish yet grown up at the same time if that makes any sense. The lipsticks come packaged in a cute little box rather than just sealed with plastic which for me is a lovely extra touch.

The lipstick itself is the prettiest I own, Admittedly my most expensive one was about £8 (I'm a high street kinda girl) But still for just £7 (or £4 on sale) The design of this is wonderful - I'm a big fan of the magnet which holds the lid on to the point of playing with it for hours because its so damn cool (Yes, I lead a sad life)

I would describe this colour as a buildable light bright pink. The formula is well pigmented and creamy which is petty much everything I look for in a lipstick. You can pick this member of the loud lips range here (Sadly they're full price again!)

Going for gold - Eyeshadow Palette

I mentioned yesterday that I got this lovely palette free with my MUA order for spending over £8, This new limited edition palette breaks away from the normal mua professional palettes showcasing ten fabulous sqauare eyeshadows rather than the normal 12 circles. Personally this is one of the things I love most about it, I know some people may feel that they're getting less for there money - But the palette still houses the same amount of product (and is the same size as other palettes) you just more of the ten shadows - Which I think is a great idea especially because how wonderfully these ten go together!

Inside houses ten wearable Olympic themed shades just in time for 2012, complete with the normal mua applicator perfect for on the go applications!

Another thing I love about this palette is the fact that they've now labelled all shadows (Even if they are simply numbers) and included a 'Mini master-class' which is a lovely touch especially if you'e stuck for ideas for looks with this palette.

As always, the quality of these eyeshadows is great, Its hard to believe the palette costs just £4! I think my personal favourites are shades three, nine and ten!

Plump pout lipstick: In the pink

  Anyone that's been reading this blog a while will know, I own way too many Avon products! There's something about the deals in the little brochure that pulls me in time and time again to the point of no return, I had a little money left over from my birthday - So naturally I ordered £30 worth of stuff.

The lipstick normally priced at £7.50 was on offer for just £4 of I figured I'd give 'In the pink a go' Avon say  'Dual plumping lipstick formulated with retinol and collagen for a gorgeously full pout that looks plumped and feels moisturised'

Personally I quite like this lipstick, It doesn't feel too drying on the lips and the colour lasted a good while. I cant say I noticed any plumping qualities - but I didn't purchase for those anyway. You can pick the plump out pout collection here at Avon currently £7.50 each or two for £8!

Clearskin Professional...

I think I pretty much own the whole of the Clearskin Professional range that has been available in the UK and I have to say I'm pretty impressed! I currently own;  Clearskin Professional Deep pore cleansing scrub ,  Clearskin Professional Clarifying Toner Pads , Clearskin Professional Daily Correcting Lotion , Clearskin Professional Thermal Mask , Clearskin Professional Blemish Treatment and the Clearskin Professional Invisible Blemish Treatment - And my skin is in pretty good shape.

These six products are amazingly priced in the UK, I received the scrub, toner pads, correcting lotion and blemish mask treatment in a set for just £10, I picked the invisible blemish treatment and the thermal mask for just £2 each in the sale - So I paid just £14 pound for the lot! So I was pretty surprised when I saw the American prices; The three step system (Scrub, toner pads and lotion) comes together as an Acne Treatment system priced at a massive $33.00, The blemish treatment $12, blemish mask treatment $12 and the thermal mask $12 totaling a massive $69 (About £44) compared to my tiny £14.

 I figured I'd tell you about these products individually. First up if the scrub from the three step system along with the other two products I use this nightly. Avon say this 'Cools and exfoliates to reveal fresher and brighter skin, dissolving and controlling pore-clogging dirt and oil for a shine-free look. With Salicylic Acid to remove dirt and oil and Glycolic Acid to exfoliate and reveal new skin. Massage over face to dissolve por-clogging dirt, and rinse well' I've found that together these products give amazing results and have completely converted me! The second step is the Clearskin Professional Clarifying Toner Pads, In one tub you get enough to last you  a whole 45 days. Avon say 'Tones, calms and soothes skin, leaving it squeaky clean, refreshed and smoother. Formulated to help restore the balance of sebum, without over-dying skin. Gently smooth over cleansed skin to leave it feeling refreshed' After using these my skin sometimes stings a little in the areas I have blemishes, but its worth it seeing the results after just a couple of weeks - These are also on sale for just £2.75 get yours here.

Thirdly is the Daily correcting Lotion -  I love how you can target the areas you want with this. Avon say 'Smoothes skin, visibly minimises pores and controls oil for a shine-free finish. Use after Deep Pore Cleansing Scrub and Clarifying Toner Pads. After cleansing, smooth over affected area morning and evening. If dryness occurs use less frequently. Apply twice daily to help minimise pores and prevent blemishes' - Unlike the other two, I use this twice a day and love it. Its also half price right now for just £3.50 here

Like the 3 step skincare system I got this next item in the £10 set,  I love the idea of the roller ball on the Blemish treatment mask - Sadly its gone walk abouts on Avon's website just months after I recall it launching, which is gutting. I've only gotten around to using it one but it left my skin feeling lovely!

I try to use the Clear Pore Thermal Mask monthly - I've had it for ages  now and I still have loads left. I love the heating effect it gives and the way my skin feels afterwards - Sadly like the Blemish Treatment mask its vanished from Avon's website without a trace meaning I have no idea of the of Avon's claims or the cost.

Lastly is the Invisible Blemish treatment as I mentioned before I got this in the Avon sale for just £2 a while ago but I recall this costing £5 normally and in my opinion worth every penny - This is possible the fastest working spot treatment I've ever come across. Like the rest of the clearskin Professional range I love it!
