MUA Conceal & Brighten Kit

'Perfectly bendable camouflage for almost any skin imperfection including blemishes, scares, birthmarks ad under eye circles. Also contains highlighting cream to transform your complexion with luminescent shimmer.'
I was excited to hear about MUA's Pro-base Conceal & Brighten kit as I feel cream concealers are seriously lacking on the high street and they tend to be my favourites to use. The kit comes complete with two shades of concealer (left and middle) along with a highlighter (right)  - Not bad at all for the price.
I found both the concealers and highlight to be so so creamy and an absolute dream to blend.  I love using the pinky toned shade on concealer under my eyes for some light coverage, and the highlighter on my cheekbones. Although Personally I just don't find the coverage great enough for concealing blemishes which is a shame, and I do feel like the colour range is lacking.
I think if you're looking to try a cheap cream concealer this may be one to start off with - at just £3.50 online and selected Superdrug stores.

MUA Eyebrow kit.

I've never really been a brow person, It was only a few months ago that clear mascara became a must have in my make up bag and even that's something I refuse to pay a lot for. Having blogged for over a year now I've seen many these sorts of kits before, but the idea of paying in some cases £20+ for something I might not even like wasn't a welcomed thought. Although when MUA released this little kit for just £3.50 I had to see what all the fuss was about.
For the small price tag you get; Two brow shades, a highlight, brow gel, tweezers, and a little brush. This also comes with a pretty big mirror built in too, Which is always a lovely bonus.
Personally I find the highlight is miles too orange for my skin tone and the darkest brown is obviously way too dark for my dark blonde eyebrows, leaving just the lighter shade and gel for me to use.(Although I'm pretty sure that I'f I really wanted to I could find something to do with these other two powders) I find the lighter shade is a really good match for my eyebrows and leaves them defined without being too obvious and the gel does a good job although I prefer using a clear mascara to lock my eyebrows into place.

Normally I dont use the brushes that come with palettes although I really like this angled one you get (I use one side for the powder the other for gel) And the tweezers arent half bad, I mean I hated them to start with because I'm used to longer ones although I really like these ones now I've got the hang of them and love the fact everything you need eyebrow wise is in this lovely little kit!
I think this little kit is brillant for just £3.50, although currently on offer for just £3. You can get your own here.

Superdrug Cucumber Cooling Mask

I really enjoy using face marks, although most of the time I'm probably guilty of not using them as much as I should do. I find that they are one of the best ways to give your skin an extra treat leaving it feeling clean and soft.  When browsing in Superdrug  last week I was pretty happy to spot Superdrug's huge new range of 99p face marks - After all who doesn't love a bargain!

I wasn't left too impressed by this 'cucumber cooling clay mask' - Don't get me wrong it wasn't the worst face mask I've tried, but it was pretty far from the best. A thing I quite loved about it was the amount of product given in one of these packets - I didn't exactly apply the mask sparingly yet I still got two whole applications out of it (I reckon I could have got three if I was careful!)  I found that the mask was really easy to apply and more importantly it didn't end up everywhere! It was pretty much as comfortable as a clay mask gets when wearing it for the required time (Which I think was about 10 minutes - I already binned the packet like the rubbish blogger I am, Sorry!). But after that is where the problems start. This mask was so stubborn to get off - To the point where in the end I just picked up a flannel and got rid of it both times because I couldn't be bothered with washing my face all night. All of that work honestly didn't seem worth it, my face just felt weird after use. It didn't meet the promises that the 'clay mask will eliminate impurities and sooth skin for a vibrant fresh faced look'' - Although after a while my skin did feel a little softer, once it was past the weird tight feeling stage.  I'm not put off the whole range completely, for 99p I think I'll be giving a few more a try (probably avoiding the clay ones for now).

MUA lipstick in shade 3

I've had my eye on MUA's lipstick in shade 3 for a while now, So when I popped in my local superdrug over the weekend I had to pick it up! Like all other shades in the range shade 3 is housed in a simple black plastic case which looks as if it could take a beating or two in my handbag.

Shade 3 transfers to the lips as a lovely highly pigmented pinky raspberry shade, which I think will look great against most skin tones. Like all MUA lipsticks I found it to be both long lasting and moisturising on the lips.
You can pick this up for just a £1 in selected superdrug stores or online from MUA

Going for gold - Eyeshadow Palette

I mentioned yesterday that I got this lovely palette free with my MUA order for spending over £8, This new limited edition palette breaks away from the normal mua professional palettes showcasing ten fabulous sqauare eyeshadows rather than the normal 12 circles. Personally this is one of the things I love most about it, I know some people may feel that they're getting less for there money - But the palette still houses the same amount of product (and is the same size as other palettes) you just more of the ten shadows - Which I think is a great idea especially because how wonderfully these ten go together!

Inside houses ten wearable Olympic themed shades just in time for 2012, complete with the normal mua applicator perfect for on the go applications!

Another thing I love about this palette is the fact that they've now labelled all shadows (Even if they are simply numbers) and included a 'Mini master-class' which is a lovely touch especially if you'e stuck for ideas for looks with this palette.

As always, the quality of these eyeshadows is great, Its hard to believe the palette costs just £4! I think my personal favourites are shades three, nine and ten!

Will you be buying the 'Going for gold palette'?

Old Favourites.

'For more than 40 years, Witch has used nature's clever ingredient Witch Hazel. It naturally cleanses, tones and soothes, leaving your skin perfectly balanced, soft and healthy looking. That's why we use it in all our products, Trust nature, trust witch.'

When I was in my early teens, I used this product religiously. So when I saw that this and many other Witch products were half price in superdrug about half the range fell into my basket.

This blemish stick remains easy to use, You just dab the product on whenever a blemish appears and the formula gets to work instantly. This product is pretty strong both in smell and on the skin, so expect a little stinging while using it and be careful if using on sensitive skin types.

Have you tried any Witch products?

Superdrug 5-in-1 BB Cream

As normal, I was browsing the Superdrug website aimlessly when I came across this - It seems superdrug have jumped on the BB bandwagon realising there own version Which has five main claims; Conceals imperfections and enhances skin tone, 24 hour hydration, Antioxidant protection,  UVA / UVB filters and SPF 15

I'm actually quite excited about this idea for some odd reason, Its a lot cheaper than alot of these creams costing £8.99 for 50ml (Whereas most cost similar for 30ml of product) - These come in two shades; Light and medium Which is a little disappointing, although pretty standard across the high street. These will be on offer for £6.99 so be sure to check them out here

Tea Tree foaming face wash

First things first - This product does not like being photographed, So just ignore the terrible images!
I've raved about Superdrugs Tea Tree range over the past week, and thought it would be unfair to leave this last product out after talking so much about the range's moisturiser and scrub.
Superdrug's Tea tree foaming face wash is great value for money, My previous foaming face wash (which cost over double the price) has nothing on this!  I've been using one pump nightly for about two weeks now  and my skin feels great despite the fact I've been too lazy to cleanse tone and moisturise for the past month (not the mention the amount of chocolate i've eaten over Easter!)

This is a product I see myself buying over and over again! Especially for just £2.99!

Gosh nails in 'Midnight Blue'

I thought I'd take a break for my new found love of tea tree and lip products today and show you another item I picked up in the gosh sale. This Beautiful nail polish was reduced to just £2 from £5. The colour is pretty hard to capture, In some lights it's navy and in others almost black - So I think 'Midnight blue' is a pretty accurate colour name. The shimmer isn't obvious, but every so often you'll see glitter flecks when the light hits your nails.

I love the finish this polish delivered after just a couple of coats. I didn't use a top coat and got around 3 days wear which is pretty normal for me. I also loved the bottle design, It gave the product a more expensive feel to it. I also really liked the ease of the brush, and will be buying more Gosh polishes in the future!

Superdrug's Tea Tree Moisturiser

As I've mentioned before I've found myself falling in love with Superdrug's Tea Tree brand. It's reasonably priced and regularly on a two for £3.99 offer. I'm currently using the brands Scrub, Face wash and moisturiser and I have to say, after just a week and a half my skin feels better than ever! Before I started using this brand, I had become rather lazy with my skin. I had gone from taking my time to cleanse, tone and moisturise to just about making enough time to use a face wash daily. It's a rather easy routine to keep up with (and great for lazy people like myself), I use the scrub about once every three days, while using the facial wash and moisturiser daily.

I love this moisturiser, I always worry that trying a new one will make me break out - but this was fine, my skin feels amazing even if I forget to apply it. At first the fact that it was £2.99 for just 30ml did concern me a bit (my previous moisturiser was just £2 for 100ml, For the same amount of this product would cost me a whopping £9.97!) However I have come to love the tiny size, I'm going away this weekend and this is the perfect size for my bag - Not to mention the handy pump which dispenses the product. The fact that this is quite a light/thin product means that you only need one pump to cover you whole face - I'm guessing the 30ml bottle will last me about a month, I've already brought a back up because I love it that much!

You can pick this product up for £2.99 in most superdrug stores or buy online - Here

MUA Lipstick in 'Juicy'

I don't own many MUA products; In fact this lipstick is one of the three MUA products I do own.
I find it quite hard to source - I feel like their stands are pretty much abandoned in most Superdrug stores, not being restocked for days- Despite the quality of the make up being much greater than some of the more expensive brands on the high street.

After reading so much about 'Juicy', 'Nectar' and 'Bare'. I began searching for them every time I popped into a superdrug. Of course every time I looked there was no place for them, or simply none left in the stand. It wasn't until one of my sisters was pestering me for a red lipstick that I finally stumbled across 'Juicy' and 'Nectar' in the smallest superdrug store I have ever visited!

'Juicy' really lived up to the hype surrounding it - It's an fantastic colour at such a low price point!  I was really shocked by just how moisturising it is, honestly I found it had more moisture than the now famous Revlon lip butters! And did I mention the great staying power?! Possibly the best pound I have ever spent - I'm Definitely going back for more shades!

Tea Tree & Peppermint Scrub

Lately I've found myself falling in love with Superdrug's Tea Tree brand, Its reasonably priced and regularly on a two for £3.99 offer. I've been using the Facial Scrub as well as the Face wash and moisturiser for about a week now and thought it was about time I shared my thoughts on each individual product.

While browsing for a new scrub on the Superdrug website, I came across this one from the Tea Tree range - By this point I was already using the facial wash and moisturiser daily and was so impressed I thought I'd give the facial scrub a go. I'm happy I did. Prior to using the Scrub I had spotted a few blackheads creeping up around my chin area - which are pretty much nonexistent just a few uses on. Like the other Tea tree products you're meet with an automatic cooling sensation which leaves skin clean and smooth. The only potential issue with this product is the size - The 75ml tube feels more like a sample rather than a full size product, although you could ague that it works out £3.99 per 100ml of product which is pretty much average for a scrub.

Overall I like this product and I can see myself repurchasing in the future. You can pick up this Tea Tree & Peppermint Scrub in Superdrug stores for £2.99 or buy online - Here.

Gosh Lip Gloss in '0084'!

I'm sure if you've been into a Superdrug recently you'll have seen the Gosh sale. I've never been bothered by it until I took my younger sister along with me, who insisted on looking at every product on offer! While I liked the look of some of the eyeshadow palettes on sale, I knew I'd never get around to using them. So I opted for this peachy looking lip gloss for just £3.25.
I really like this lip gloss; the colour is that 'perfect peach' shade I'm always looking for and the staying power is amazing! It can be a little patchy - but nothing that cant be fixed with the use of a mirror.
I'd also like to take this chance to thank Miss LV for adding me to her blog roll (www.misslv.com)

Barry M Croc Effect!

I've been waiting to try this Effect polish for a while, So When I spotted it in superdrug last week- I had to buy!

This is my second time trying the polish, The first time looked terrible so I didn't bother to photograph,
I feel like with this polish you get better with practise and as you can see the instructions are a little more complex the the original crackle polish:

With this polish the effect really depends on your base colour, but I love the way it has a glossy finish compered to the fakeyness of the Crackle.

I think this is a polish that I will be practising with over the following months (hopefully I'll get better with it)
Overall I quite like the results and I'm happy to say, there is a clear difference between this and the crackle.
You can pick this polish up for £3.99 at Superdrug

My latest buys

I mentioned yesterday in my Dr Balm post that I had broke my spending ban with the aim of getting some new clothes. I ended up with a couple of tops, Jeans and a pair of flats before blowing the rest of my money on beauty related treats, Why am I such a sucker for a good deal!?

I saw the Barry M croc effect instore finally and had to have it.
Currently in Superdrug if you buy two Barry M items you get a free eye pencil- They saw me coming!
So I picked up another nail paint in the colour Peach Melba its such a pretty shade, although I do kinda regret not picking up the gold effect one to go with the croc effect.
I look forward to using all of these products, Reviews coming soon.

I didn't even bother to look inside this primark beauty set before buying, I just saw the pretty box and was sold!

I actually really like the posy and Satin colours, So I cant wait to see how they apply.
Normally I wouldnt expect much out of something that cost me £2 for four nail polishes, but primark beauty has proved me wrong in the past.

I saw this half price in Superdrug so snapped it up, Since I have brought so many hair treatments in the past month I think I will do a round up post soon on what I have tried rather than bore you with individual reviews.

Have you guys tried any of these products?
