Undress your skin Foundation

undress your skin foundation
I'm a big fan of MUA, So when their 'Undress your skin illuminating foundation' launched I was quick to grab a tube, although as I mentioned in my Shopping my Stash post it was something which I completely forgot about until recently. Personally I really like the packaging of this and find the design allows it to really stand out in my make up bag as the tall and skinny tube is unlike anything else I own. I also spotted that this contains 35ml of foundation as opposed to the normal 30ml which is always a bonus.
MUA
I have the lightest shade Porcelain which I adore since it's pale enough for my skintone which is pretty rare on the highstreet, previously I was using a Dainty Doll one which is designed for pale skin so I'm pleased to see that this is only a tiny bit darker at a fraction of the price. Generally I find my illuminating foundations tend to be quite sheer, so I was pretty surprised when I discovered that this offers medium level of coverage which is easily buildable to full. It really gives skin that 'flawless' look and actually covers most of my freckles which surprised me a lot since most of my foundations tend to leave them on show (For reference I'm a big lover of sheer foundations and BB creams)
Overall I really liked this product and think it is a complete bargain! While it offers more coverage than I'm used to, It really helps achieve that flawless look and it will be a definite staple for nights out and events I feel I need a bit more make up for! You can pick this up for £5 over at Superdrug or half price on MUA's website.

MUA Conceal & Brighten Kit

'Perfectly bendable camouflage for almost any skin imperfection including blemishes, scares, birthmarks ad under eye circles. Also contains highlighting cream to transform your complexion with luminescent shimmer.'
I was excited to hear about MUA's Pro-base Conceal & Brighten kit as I feel cream concealers are seriously lacking on the high street and they tend to be my favourites to use. The kit comes complete with two shades of concealer (left and middle) along with a highlighter (right)  - Not bad at all for the price.
I found both the concealers and highlight to be so so creamy and an absolute dream to blend.  I love using the pinky toned shade on concealer under my eyes for some light coverage, and the highlighter on my cheekbones. Although Personally I just don't find the coverage great enough for concealing blemishes which is a shame, and I do feel like the colour range is lacking.
I think if you're looking to try a cheap cream concealer this may be one to start off with - at just £3.50 online and selected Superdrug stores.

MUA Eyebrow kit.

I've never really been a brow person, It was only a few months ago that clear mascara became a must have in my make up bag and even that's something I refuse to pay a lot for. Having blogged for over a year now I've seen many these sorts of kits before, but the idea of paying in some cases £20+ for something I might not even like wasn't a welcomed thought. Although when MUA released this little kit for just £3.50 I had to see what all the fuss was about.
For the small price tag you get; Two brow shades, a highlight, brow gel, tweezers, and a little brush. This also comes with a pretty big mirror built in too, Which is always a lovely bonus.
Personally I find the highlight is miles too orange for my skin tone and the darkest brown is obviously way too dark for my dark blonde eyebrows, leaving just the lighter shade and gel for me to use.(Although I'm pretty sure that I'f I really wanted to I could find something to do with these other two powders) I find the lighter shade is a really good match for my eyebrows and leaves them defined without being too obvious and the gel does a good job although I prefer using a clear mascara to lock my eyebrows into place.

Normally I dont use the brushes that come with palettes although I really like this angled one you get (I use one side for the powder the other for gel) And the tweezers arent half bad, I mean I hated them to start with because I'm used to longer ones although I really like these ones now I've got the hang of them and love the fact everything you need eyebrow wise is in this lovely little kit!
I think this little kit is brillant for just £3.50, although currently on offer for just £3. You can get your own here.

MUA lipstick in shade 3

I've had my eye on MUA's lipstick in shade 3 for a while now, So when I popped in my local superdrug over the weekend I had to pick it up! Like all other shades in the range shade 3 is housed in a simple black plastic case which looks as if it could take a beating or two in my handbag.

Shade 3 transfers to the lips as a lovely highly pigmented pinky raspberry shade, which I think will look great against most skin tones. Like all MUA lipsticks I found it to be both long lasting and moisturising on the lips.
You can pick this up for just a £1 in selected superdrug stores or online from MUA

MUA Lipstick in Bare

I am determined to someday own every MUA product available, one lipstick at a time! I've said time and time again that 'Bare' was a shade I really wanted to try from MUA, Although most of the time its sold out in all my local superdrugs so It was the first thing that went in my basket when ordering online.

I think 'Bare' is my favourite shade from the MUA line so far, Its a lovely natural nude colour which is perfect for everyday wear. Like all the MUA lipsticks I've tried I found that 'Bare' is mositurising on the lips and lasts a good while  before you need to top the colour up. At just £1 this is a total steal.
You can pick 'Bare' up from selected Superdrug stores and over at MUA's website

MUA Lipstick in shade 12

When swatching what seemed like the whole of Superdrug last month, 'Shade 12' from MUA really stood out to me. Like all of the MUA lipsticks I've tried 'Shade 12' is pigmented, long lasting and amazing value for money. The shade is a lovely buildable pink colour with a lovely hint of shimmer.

Above shows the lipstick with just one swipe and the second with a few. Overall I'm really liking MUA lipsticks at the moment and have set my sights on shade 3! What are your favourite products from MUA?
You can pick these up in selected Superdrug stores, or online from muastore.co.uk

MUA Extreme Felt Eyeliner

I am terribly bad at eyeliner or anything that involves some kind of skill when it comes to make up - so when I saw this felt one from MUA for just £2 I figured I'd give it a go. I've tried all sorts of eyeliners; pencils, liquid, gels but nothing has been easier than this little beauty.

MUA's extreme felt eyeliner makes topping of a look with liner possible for us less skilled out there - For the first time in a long time I managed to wear eyeliner out today. I love that with this you can control how thick you want the line - Making a simple flick so easy!

The image to the left shows the eyeliner when first applied and the image to the right shows it after eight whole hours which is pretty impressive especially when you consider it only cost £2!
You can pick this up in selected superdrug stores or here

Undressed - Eyeshadow Palette

This palette has caused a bit of a stir in the amongst beauty bloggers lately, and I can see why - The range of colours is stunning and a proud addition anyone's make up bag. The words 'Naked Palette' have been thrown around a lot by pretty much everyone reviewing this baby and its pretty obvious why when there is such a resemblance between the pair. Its seems this wasn't a mistake on MUA's part - Naked, Undressed - I see what they did there!

I cant compare this to the Naked palette personally because I don't own it, I do however feel that this is a great alternative at a low price based on swatches I have seen of the pair.

Like the 'Going for Gold palette' , Undressed comes complete with labelled shades and a mini master-class to give users ideas on how to use the palette

How impressive is that bottom row?! I'm in love with shades six, eight and nine!

The undressed palette is available now in selected Superdrug stores and  at muastore.co.uk where it will only set you back £4!

Going for gold - Eyeshadow Palette

I mentioned yesterday that I got this lovely palette free with my MUA order for spending over £8, This new limited edition palette breaks away from the normal mua professional palettes showcasing ten fabulous sqauare eyeshadows rather than the normal 12 circles. Personally this is one of the things I love most about it, I know some people may feel that they're getting less for there money - But the palette still houses the same amount of product (and is the same size as other palettes) you just more of the ten shadows - Which I think is a great idea especially because how wonderfully these ten go together!

Inside houses ten wearable Olympic themed shades just in time for 2012, complete with the normal mua applicator perfect for on the go applications!

Another thing I love about this palette is the fact that they've now labelled all shadows (Even if they are simply numbers) and included a 'Mini master-class' which is a lovely touch especially if you'e stuck for ideas for looks with this palette.

As always, the quality of these eyeshadows is great, Its hard to believe the palette costs just £4! I think my personal favourites are shades three, nine and ten!

Will you be buying the 'Going for gold palette'?

My first muastore.co.uk order

I mentioned earlier that my look beauty order  came in the post today along with my first order from MUA, So i figured I'd tell you a little about my experience with the website  as personally I really like to know what a website is like before I order from them. I ordered these on Friday the 29th of June and received them this morning (Tuesday the 3rd of July) which was a bit of a srupirse since my order was still 'processing' on the mua website yesterday night- Its changed to 'compete' now.

I was very happy that my eyeshadow palettes were well guarded in bubble wrap (I'm an amazing blogger clearly, managing to take pictures before I tore that bubble wrap to sherds) Here's a closer look at what I brought:

The Undressed palette was first on my list and worth every penny of the 400 I paid for it, there's a great bunch of colours here, and I'll be posting about this ASAP!

Next up is a lovely lipstick called 'bare' , I've wanted this for so so so so so long - But they never have it in stock near to me and I can see why the colour is lovely! At just £1 this is great value for money!

I've wanted a felt liner for ages, so for just £2 this seemed like a good place to start, I look forward to using it!

This eyebrow pencil in blonde was just a £1, I'm not too sure about the way it looks on me so I cant say I think I'll get much use out of it.

Last but not least was the new 'going for gold' palette - which was free for spending over £8. I love a good freebie, especially when its something I would have ended up buying anyway.

All of this lovely stuff came to the grand total of just £10.95 with shipping! I was very happy with the service MUA had to offer and will be shopping there again since its so hard to get the professional line in my local superdrug stores!

Lately MUA have been giving us lots of sneaky peaks on their blog of up and coming products and today I thought I'd do a round up for those who may have missed the posts.. I've been so so so excited for this product since Karla posted about it here, She mentions that every lash has a plastic comb wand which happens to be my preferred type of mascara wand (fate!) so I cant wait to try this out plus the results look great - I'll also be ordering this with the other goodies for just £3!

Thirdly is another product I cant wait to try! The limited addition going for gold palette hosting a range of olmpic themed shades great for London 2012 Read more about this lovely palette here on the MUA blog or here for the post I posted on monday.

MUA: Glamour Days

I was really happy to finally get my hands on a couple of Mua eye shadow palettes last week - and they did not disappoint! Glamour days stood out to me, with a great range of different yet usable colours, at just £4 it was a total bargain! Plus these little beauty's were on the 3 for 2 offer making them even cheaper!

The pigmentation of these was pretty impressive, even without considering the low price point. This will make a great addition to my far too over sized make up bag!

Bottom row:

The last four colours are my favourite my far, I would pay the full price of the palette just for them! What do you guys make of this palette?

NEW Mua Palette!

As soon as I saw the post on MUA's blog, I knew I had to have this! I literally made the 11 mile trip to get my first bunch of MUA professional goodies yesterday, as they don't sell it in my local one so I'm a little gutted I'll have to do it all again! Although it all sounds worth it! In Karla's words  'It has a great combination of shimmers and mattes and the colour selection is great for creating this season’s clean, natural look, but leaves the "boring shades" behind hence the name of the palette being ‘UNDRESSED’ it’s in my eyes a "a breath of fresh air.” Being bang on trend with the spring summer runway filled with nude makeup looks.'

Are you guys looking forward to trying this palette as much as I am? Be sure to click on the blog link to get a closer look.

My Daily Face...

During the week I am ridiculously lazy, So when It comes to make up I have about two minutes to apply everything  because I'm usually running late. The above products are staples in my routine. I use collection 2000's Lasting perfection concealer in fair under my eyes and to cover any imperfections. I then use MUA's matt eyeshadow in shade 16 Which does a great job at helping to brighten my whole eye area. After that I use my eyelash curlers from ELF which add to my whole lash look dramatically, Finally coat my lashes with my current favourite mascara - Loreal's False lash telescopic.

MUA Lipstick in 'Nectar'

As I've mentioned before, after weeks of searching I was finally lucky enough to pick up MUA's Juicy and Nectar in my local superdrug! I love the fact that MUA has started to name their lipsticks, I feel like it gives them more of a personalty than just a shade number!

I've been looking for an orangey lipstick shade for a while now, but most of them just make me look like I've freshly finished a bowl of pasta - not attractive! However Nectar has an almost softer feel to it giving me just the right level of orange. (Swatches natural lighting then with flash)

As I've mentioned while talking about juicy, I was pleasantly surprised by just how moisturising these are. I'm becoming a big fan of MUA amazing products, and that's without considering the low Price point! I'll be going back for more!
